Company Pixel Qi founded by Mary Lou Jepsen, shall present a prototype of a new type of display for small laptop computers in May or early June.
Mary Lou Jepsen is the creator of this revolutionary display and a so-called “100-dollar laptop Olpc XO”.

Display referred to as 3Qi will have the diagonal measurement of 10.1 "and according to Jepsen’s information it will be probably based on similar principles as Olpc XO laptop screen, which supports the monochrome mode without backlight; functioning well even in direct sunlight and the color scheme with active backlight. 3Qi is similar to electronic paper with high resolution and contrast. But it will support a high refresh frequency for fast scrolling, or playing video and color mode.
At the end of last year Jepsen informed that the display developed by the company should have very low consumption and enable manufacturing of laptops with endurance of 20 to 40 hours, and its production should begin in the fall.
